Boots, Skinnies, and The first Rookieism

Don't you just love Boots and Skinny Jeans?  I do. I wore them a couple times recently.

I wore this outfit to brunch with my Mom and Sisters.

The Top is from O'Neill, it is not Maternity, just flowy enough to cover this bump...for now. The jeggings are from Forever21 (Also not maternity) I also wore them here. The Boots are from Target. The necklace is from Forever21.

I wore this outfit to a friends' Tamale Christmas Party.

The Top is Roxy. The Jeans are some maternity brand. (I honestly just dug through my hamper to try to find them so I could look at the tag, and they must have run away. Sorry) The Boots are form Target. The Necklace is from Stella and Dot.

And now, time for a little story...

Rookieism #1
Recently The Rookie went clothes shopping and brought home some slim cut jeans with stretch in the fabric.

He is a man's man, and has never owned slim cut jeans before, nor jeans with any kind of stretch in them. It was hilarious to watch him get all stoked about how comfortable his new jeans were when he tried them on to show me. He did some sweet poses in them too, like my all time favorite, this one.

A few days later, I was complaining to him how uncomfortable my maternity jeans are getting because our baby is sitting so low in my belly. "There are two kinds of maternity jeans." I told him. The kind that cut straight across your belly(full panel), and the kind that cut super low(smooth panel).

He looked at me with a straight face and asked,
Which kind do I have?

I died laughing.

Linking up with The Pleated Poppy Today for What I Wore Wednesday. So go check out the other rad outfits that people are wearing. If you are into fashion, or blogs, or that sort of thing.

  1. OMG that is just too funny!

Of course, i tease my husband about when the baby is due, since he put all his weight on in that one spot, so I suppose I could actually answer that question (smooth panel) :-)
